Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat, is the largest province in Thailand and the gateway to the lesser-visited northeastern region of Isan, home to wild elephants, the beautiful Khao Yai National Park and people who are more likely to speak Lao than Thai. To help plan your trip, here’s our pick of the best hotels in Nakhon Ratchasima – bookable with Culture Trip.

1. Sima Thani Hotel

The hotel has a pool courtyard, but you’re better off relaxing in the spa, where you can enjoy a top-notch Thai massage. The cluster of city sights are a little far from here, but you can dig for hidden treasures and scour the stalls for tasty satay skewers at the sprawling SaveOne Night Market, a short tuk-tuk drive away.
