With lovely beaches, lots of history, and interesting attractions, it’s little wonder that El Jadida is a popular destination for Moroccans seeking a fun summer holiday. Somewhat off the radar when it comes to international guests, there are plenty of reasons to visit El Jadida when exploring Morocco’s Atlantic coast. But what to do after the sun goes down? Visitors can sample varied cuisine in the diverse restaurants and check out the plentiful coffee shops. For those craving a tipple on vacation, these bars are also worth checking out too.

Zahwa is an ideal destination for anyone keen to experience a local Moroccan bar. Hotel L’Iglesia by Beldi is another of El Jadida’s fine hotels with an attached restaurant and bar. Atmospheric and peaceful, it is a great spot for couples seeking to inject a little romance into their trip. Order a selection of Moroccan pastries to complement your drinks. Relax on the terrace and soak up the views of the old fortress and the ocean, or retreat to the air-conditioned comfort of the indoor salon.

7. Bar Ibis Moussafir

Bar, Hotel Restaurant, Moroccan

Part of the Ibis Hotel, guests of the Bar Ibis Moussafir can choose to sit inside or on the charming patio close to the hotel’s pool. The mood is calm and relaxing. 8. Requin Bleu

Overlooking the sands and the sea of Sidi Bouzid Beach, Requin Bleu is in a great location for enjoying a few sundowners. The indoor area is primarily a restaurant, while the terrace invites both diners and drinkers. Sip a glass of wine, beer, or even mint tea as the cool ocean breeze gently caresses your face.

9. Puccini

Restaurant, Moroccan

Close to the sandy beach, Puccini is a popular spot in El Jadida for both eating and drinking. The restaurant serves delicious Italian cuisine, while the lounge is a lovely place to relax with friends and enjoy a drink or two. Why not try some local wines that were produced at Morocco’s lush vineyards?

10. Bonus bar suggestion: JuJu Bar

Bar, Nightclub, Juice Bar

Despite the name, JuJu Bar doesn’t actually serve alcohol; it’s a juice bar. It’s worthy of a mention, however, as the expertly blended mocktails are so refreshing and tasty that it’s easy to forget that there’s no alcohol in your glass.
