While the foodie spotlight shines on Lima, Cusco quietly goes about its business, serving up the freshest food in the country. Its location near the rainforest and atop the Andes makes it the meeting ground for fresh produce and unique culinary traditions. The city’s title as the tourist capital of Peru also means that locals are catering to travelers’ appetites, which means that vegan/vegetarian options abound. Here’s a look at the best healthy restaurants in Cusco, Peru.

There’s an upstairs and a downstairs, both cozy and brightly decorated. The service is surpassed only by their great menu, which requires patrons to make tough decisions between delicious options – you’ll probably come back more than once.
