"Anti-Human": A Provocative New Photo Series From Kolor Collective

Anti-Human is the latest avant-garde photo series from Rio de Janeiro-based photography collective, Kolor. A blatant commentary on the horrors of animal abuse, this “eco-editorial” artfully subjects its models to the same inhumane conditions that humans force upon wildlife; from poaching to habitat destruction and torturous cosmetic testing. But this time, “the animals take their revenge.”

This colorful photo series aims to exemplify the “systematic exploitation and extermination of the animal world.” Reversing the roles of humans and animals, Anti-Human portrays animals as the aggressors, sadistically torturing humans with sickening ease.

Each photograph showcases a model wearing an animal-themed bodysuit designed by Fernando Cozendey from his latest collection, ‘Livre.’ In an ironic twist, an elephant pulls out a bloodied man’s teeth; an ostrich cheerfully prepares to sauté a newborn baby; and an armed zebra stalks human targets in a shooting range.

Theatrical and grotesque, this artful satire effectively showcases the cruelty of human practices.
