About your trip
This 11-day trip shows off some of the best sights from two of South America’s most iconic destinations, including vibrant cities, awe-inspiring glaciers and amazing wildlife.
It begins in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, where you will be shown famous neighbourhoods like Recoleta and Palermo as well as the historic Plaza de Mayo and the colourful Caminito street in La Boca. You’ll also get to know the city’s culture through delicious local dinners and a captivating tango show.
From there, you will be taken to El Calafate in Chile for a Perito Moreno glacier tour that begins in the Patagonian Andean Forest and reveals these spectacular natural wonders, as you get up close to them for some magnificent photo opportunities on a safari sailing exploration.
More natural wonders on display at your next destination, Puerto Natales, including the Torres del Paine National Park and the Milodon Cave Monument. You will spend a whole day exploring these stunning attractions, taking in forests, glacial valleys, mountain ranges, lakes and, if the weather is good, condors.
The birds can also be seen on your tour of Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers, where you will sail through the Señoret channel and stay on the lookout for Magellanic Dolphins that sometimes swim alongside your boat.
The trip ends with a visit to the Chilean capital, Santiago, where a walking tour shows off the amazing murals on its subway stations, the local snacks, such as empanadas and drinks made with local fruits, and the Bellavista neighbourhood. There’s also the chance to visit Cousiño Macul, the only vineyard in the Chilean capital for a guided tour of its cellars and to sample some of its fine products before heading home.
