Culture Trip stands with
Black Lives Matter
This one-of-a-kind boutique in the city centre exclusively stocks New Zealand-made possum, merino, mohair and alpaca garments. The Possum Boutique takes pride in its luxurious selection of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, including jackets, scarves, gloves, socks, and beanies. Among its collection you’ll find the esteemed Koru Knitwear range, which has been around for more than 30 years.
Simply New Zealand takes pride in the fact they were the first retailers to receive Qualmark accreditation – that is, an endorsement from the country’s official tourism quality assurance association. Since opening their first shop in 1963, they have extended their operations throughout New Zealand. Within its wide range of local souvenirs and gifts, there’s a stylish assortment of knitwear garments made from a blend of possum fur and merino.
With a pop-up shop and an outlet store in Wellington, NZFur + Skin is your local stop for eclectic possum fur accessories. Scarves, hats, and baby items are part of their unique repertoire. Their products come primarily from Possum Pam, a major retail supplier that has been in the industry since 1983.
Since starting operations in 1975, Global Culture has grown to become a key player in locally-produced clothing and gifts. They produce a mix of merino and possum fur accessories – including scarves, beanies, and gloves – and have multiple stores nationwide. You’ll find their Wellington base around the ever-enticing melting pot of outlets on Cuba Street.
The New Zealand Souvenir Factory is located in Miramar, within a five-minute drive from Wellington Airport. Part of the store’s appeal is that it offers a large assortment of Kiwi products for all tastes and prices, ranging from inexpensive nick-knacks to top quality gift items. Possum fur is very much a part of the equation – you’ll find Koru Knitwear garments, among other product ranges.
