Table 35

Offering live music Friday and Saturday nights and delectable cuisine every day of the week, Table 35 awards its diners excellent service and top-notch food. Drink specials and cocktail happy hours entice guests through the doors, and the chef’s skillful dishes keep them returning. Reserve a table and turn up with a group of friends ready to indulge with appetizers of coconut-crusted, beer-battered portobello mushrooms and crispy artichoke hearts plus entrees of coffee-rubbed skirt steak, grilled lamb chops and the freshly cooked catch of the day. Table 35 is open for lunch as well as dinner.

Get the morning off to a taste-tingling start with a Chamericano at Pika’s Cafe. Stuffed with chamorro sausage, cheddar cheese, red potatoes, scrambled eggs, lana sauce and a side of salsa, this tortilla wrap panini is delectable. Open for breakfast, brunch and lunch Monday through Saturday, Pika’s Cafe has plenty of delicious, wholesome, colorful dishes to tempt both vegetarians and meat-lovers. At lunch, the salmon Tinaktak is the sandwich of choice, with a fresh ciabatta overflowing with grilled salmon, coconut milk, balsamic onions, local string beans, roasted tomatoes and lana sauce.

Proa Restaurant

Although it was the Marianas-glazed BBQ dish that made so many diners first fall in love with Proa Restaurant, it’s their ever-changing salmon specials that keep them coming back for more. A new salmon special crops up on the menu with each shift change — that means at least two different salmon dishes a day. The chef in charge is given full creative freedom to invent a brand new dish to tempt that shift’s customers. Elsewhere on the menu, the Hawaiian pink rock salt-pressed rib-eye steak, pan-roasted prawns with red rice risotto cake, and Hibachi-style spare ribs are all firm favorites. They’re all cooked to an exceptional standard.

Mosa’s Joint

Serving a delicious mix of local cuisine and authentic Greek flavors, Mosa’s Joint may not be a large restaurant, but it’s a superb one. Alongside the standard menu, they offer a variety of daily lunch and dinner specials including tasty treats such as the deep-fried parrot fish curry bowl, the denanche bacon Swiss burger, and the firecracker salmon sandwich. On the main menu, it’s the lamb burger that the locals love, and the fresh Greek salad is also a favorite. Mosa’s Joint is both small and popular, so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table on busy evenings. Once seated, enjoy your food with an ice-cold mojito or mug of bottomless tea.

Uomaru Honten

As authentic as a Japanese restaurant in Guam could possibly be, Uomaru Honten has you thinking someone had transported you to Tokyo. Decked out from floor to ceiling in a light wood, the atmosphere here is relaxed and casual, while the flavors are bold and exotic. Sushi and sashimi feature heavily on the menu, but there are plenty of other hot and spicy dishes for those with a heartier appetite. Try the marinated pork loin, chicken wings and the Wagyu beef for a delicious meaty meal. Making the dining experience even more special, the menu is even written in Japanese. But don’t worry, there’s an English version too.

Meskla Dos

The place to visit when the only thing that will satisfy you is a giant gourmet burger is Meskla Dos. It’s loved for its local-style barbecue and hearty burgers. For something a little different, order the French Toast Slammer burger. This beauty features a homemade eight-ounce beef patty topped with a fried egg and served in a French toast bun. It comes with both garlic aioli and maple syrup, making it a delight to eat at any time of the day. The fried fish burger is also a much-loved favorite — a fried coconut-infused catfish fillet topped with a tangy scallion sauce. The medley of flavors bursting out of this sandwich is enough to make even the most dedicated meat eater order the fish for a change.

Churrasco Brazilian BBQ

An authentic Brazilian steakhouse nestled in the heart of the beautiful island of Guam, Churrasco Brazilian BBQ is a great venue for date nights, celebrations and special last night of holiday dinners. Diners can choose to eat unlimited rodizio meat, salad, soup and hot sides. Meat is served gaucho style, and there is plenty of variations on offer, including up to nine different cuts of beef, two of pork and three of chicken. You can also enjoy a dinner of smoked salmon, seafood ceviche and crab salad or stick to the hot and cold self-serve vegetable dishes at the salad bar. Be sure to arrive with an appetite.

Ban Thai

Known for its authentic, colorful and undisputedly delicious Thai cuisine, Ban Thai hosts a much-loved lunch buffet Monday through Saturday. This is the perfect opportunity for Thai food novices to sample several different flavors simultaneously while they work out which dishes they like best. If you find yourself dining in the evening instead, simply order a few different dishes to share between the table in order to still get the same multi-flavor experience. The shrimp Phat Thai, lemongrass chicken and curried prawns with pineapple are all great picks.

Jamaican Grill Tumon

Combining flavors from Jamaica, Guam and the Philippines, the Jamaican Grill Tumon serves up a variety of delicious barbecued dishes that they call ‘serious food.’ Not a place to go to if you’re only slightly peckish, the portions here are generous, and the food incredibly filling. Both the jerk marinated rib-eye steak and the Ja-mango ribs are examples of the best barbecue food on the island. Most of the dishes can be ordered to go or enjoyed in the restaurant, making it the perfect place to pop by and pick up a meaty picnic barbecue to enjoy at one of Guam’s many beautiful beaches.
