It’s easy to get lost inside the pages of your favorite books, but Melbourne’s literary scene is just as page-turning as any novel. From readings and signings to discussions on politics and media in the digital age, these are the upcoming bookstore events in June that you need to know about.

Dymocks

Pop into Dymocks Collins Street on Tuesday the 14th of June to meet the author of Celestial Battle, Kylie Chan, who with the release of her latest novel Black Jade now has nine titles under her belt. Her books explore Chinese mythology and parallel worlds inhabited by gods and demons. A few days later, on Friday the 17th of June, Dymocks will present a Fierce and Fabulous book event where author and entrepreneur Nkandu Beltz will speak about Fierce and Fabulous – The Feminine Force of Success which is dedicated to the achievements of women in business.

Come to a celebration of Maton guitars with a discussion on their musical impact with Linda Kitchen and musician Shane Howard. Hang around after the talk to hear Shane play a few songs on the 9th of June at the St. Kilda location.
