Thoughtography: How Your Mind Sees Art

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 28 March 2016
Prepare to be blown away as Thoughtography: How Your Mind Sees Art takes you to the intersection of science and art – with mind-boggling results. Conceptualised by a team of academics and creatives at La Trobe University, Thoughtography was designed to give people a better understanding of how their brains process art and the varying levels of engagement they have when viewing art. To find out what your brain really thinks when you view art, you’ll be equipped with an EEG headset which will measure the electoral activity in your brain. Once the information is translated into meaningful data, you’ll be handed your very own Thoughtograph reading – and proof whether you’ve been winging it or really engaging with the art!

📅 Until Fri, April 22

📍 National Gallery of Victoria, 180 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne VIC +61 (03) 8620 2222
