Quitting their jobs to buy their favourite bar, owners Rachel and Justin are clearly in tune with what locals want and are happy to provide. Republic of Elwood not only has a wide range of wines, beer, and spirits but allows customers to order over the bar from Turkish restaurant Lezzet, Italian restaurant Figo Pizza and Indian restaurant Curry Leaf. As if it couldn’t get any better, Republic of Elwood is also a dog-friendly venue.
Bright and welcoming, Elwood Food and Wine Bar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. The Eurocentric cafe menu is accompanied by a fine selection of wine. From Monday to Wednesday the restaurant offers $12.50 tapas and a glass of house wine, while every Friday you can get $12 pizzas and $15 paella.
