The hotels in Coolum Beach know all too well that any time spent on the Sunshine Coast is without regret. The mighty Mount Coolum stands to watch over the shoreline, encouraging all visitors and locals to gaze in awe at this coastal town’s natural beauty. From hiking to boogie boarding, outdoor activities are never more than a step away from the best hotels in Coolum Beach – bookable with Culture Trip.

1. The Point Coolum Beach, for beachfront bathing

The Point is one of the many hotels in Coolum Beach that run on beach time. Don’t fret, the executive villas will get you up to speed. One look at the rolling waves from your private deck, and you’ll be ready to lean back a little deeper in your chair. Whale watching, golf, shopping – it’s all readily available, but your time is precious. Sink into one of the two pools, leave your phone in your villa, and just float in peace for a while.

2. Papillon Coolum – a Transformative Holiday at Papillon, for reconnecting with nature

Cocoon yourself in Coolum at these peaceful Papillion Villas. Laying delicately on a secluded fauna reserve – not unlike the endangered butterflies that flutter through the air – each villa was built for your revitalization. Spa baths, wine fridges and private outdoor spaces are some of the treasures you’ll find inside. Four and five-bedroom villas are quite convenient here – it would be mighty hard to take in all of the sunshine from the balcony alone.

3. Element on Coolum Beach, for waking up to the sounds of the ocean

We’ve got to warn you about Element on Coolum Beach: one night in its apartments will tempt you to stay forever. The pool or sea view units make no difference, as the wide windows make each room light and airy – allowing the sounds and scents of the seaside to set an all-too-relaxing mood. Some call these self-contained apartments the best of the best in the country. We’d like to find a word other than “sublime” to use, but we’d rather put the effort into eliminating our tan lines beside the pool.

5. Seachange Coolum Beach, for all-inclusive luxuries with the kids

A worry-free holiday for the kiddos is on deck at Seachange Coolum Beach. You could take that in the literal sense if you snag the deluxe family apartment that has a BBQ deck with seating for six. A fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities are within reach here – and the beach is just an arm’s extension of these hotels in Coolum Beach, so be prepared to chase down the little ones as they race to the water.

The spa villas, though, have everything you need for pampering on the sun-soaked rooftop terrace. And just when you thought choosing between the two was the toughest decision you’d face, you’ll spot four sparkling pools all vying for your two-piece.

7. Coolum Caprice, for penthouse perfection

With the shoreline right within a leap from your patio, you may think that the amenities at Coolum Caprice go unused. It’s a sure bet that guests in the one-bedroom and penthouse apartments will be beach bums for most of their trip, but that just leaves you to have a run at the pool and game rooms before they return. And the ocean views from the penthouse stretching from Maroochydore to Noosa? You won’t have to share those with anything but a bottle of beer.

8. Villa Coolum, for a pet-friendly paradise
