Thanks to Sydney’s beautiful landscapes, the city has bred a population that loves the outdoors and embracing a healthy lifestyle. This has translated into many cafes and restaurants that cater to all sorts of diets. So if you’re looking to be nourished, stop by one of these delicious and nutritious cafes around the city.

You almost feel healthier walking out than you did walking into About Life. There are many About Life’s stores scattered throughout Sydney which have become the go-to place for clean-eating enthusiasts. In the Double Bay store you will find a ‘Superfoods Quarter’ which has a build-your-own health pizza and burrito bar as well as a tonne of soups, curries and salads to choose from. If you’re grabbing food on the go this is a great option because you can grab one of their boxes and fill it with whatever you want for a fixed price. Those with a sweet tooth will love the raw, guilt free desserts too. Or if you would prefer to dine in, they have a fully services cafe which caters to many diet including vegan, gluten free and paleo.

2. Venus Whole Foods

Cafe, Healthy

This discreet cafe is part of the mini precinct in Surry Hills, The Stables. Here you can find a counter full of freshly prepared salads and homemade dressings. Don’t get too attached to any item though, the food served here is strictly based on whatever is in season and fresh at the markets that day. Vegans will feel at home here as the cafe serves salads but there are options to add some protein including chicken, ham, sourdough toast or a soft boiled egg. The breakfast menu is equally delicious and the smoothies are worth a try.

3. North Bondi Wholefoods

Cafe, Healthy, Australian

Tucked away in the quiet streets of the Bustling Bondi Beach, this cafe is a haven for health enthusiasts being part-grocery store part-cafe as well as a mini book store. The cafe has an extensive, nourishing menu which includes plenty of superfood smoothies. The breakfast menu is where this cafe really shines and the stars of the menu are the famous acai bowl (for something sweet) which is full to the brim with blended berries, gluten free granola and fresh fruit. For something savoury you can’t go wrong with the paleo bread, which is made with eggs, almond meal and plenty of veggies and served with a side of delicious cashew cheese.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
