Updated: 24 June 2016
The 65th Melbourne International Film Festival will be bigger and more immersive than ever before with international and local features, film premieres, documentaries, short films and a special Virtual Reality program as well as the brand new program Headliners. Established in 1952 MIFF is one of the oldest film festivals in the world and this year’s program will not disappoint. Five Australian films will premiere during the festival, and the new program Headliners will showcase the films High RiseCertain Women, Sunset Song, Things to Come and Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World. Eric Darnell, writer/director of Madagascar, will run a Virtual Reality Keynote session and this year’s Industry Public Access Events include five lectures from Adrian Wootton on Shakespeare and four seminars on script writing by Wendall Thomas.
