Tessa Thompson is set to make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Thor: Ragnarok as legendary Asgardian warrior Valkyrie, after spending five months in Australia shooting for the role with Aussie natives Chris Hemsworth and Cate Blanchett. But it wasn’t all work and no play as Tessa revealed some of her favourite things about life Down Under.

In the movie, the third film in the Thor franchise, Thompson joins the likes of Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Tom Hiddleston as a jaded former warrior for Asgard.

‘I had never been [to Australia]. I had been for three days prior, also for the project, I had to go and try out my space ship and meet Chris which was hilarious, but when we shot the film I was there for five months,’ explains Thompson.

We got a surprising answer when talking about the local wildlife: ‘I’m a really big fan of goats, they had like eight baby goats and I would go see them bi-weekly. I really wanna have a goat one day it’s a really big dream of mine.’
