Originally, co-owners Anuj Yadav and Charles Fernandez intended to open a premium dog meat shop; however, through the encouragement of friends and fans on Facebook, the idea transformed into what we see today.
After noticing that the health of his German Shepherd had taken a turn for the worse, hip-hop and RnB promoter Anuj Yadav did some research into the dog meat he was buying, only to find that a lot of knackeries producing pet meat did so from diseased animals. In contrast, DogHouse sources grass-fed, preservative- and chemical-free meat from Felice’s Place Gourmet Butchers, which supplies some of the top restaurants in Melbourne.
DogHouse is set up with ten gated booths in the back courtyard to prevent doggie destruction and is the ideal place to celebrate canine birthdays and weddings. Aside from dogachinos, the menu features grass-fed beef with vegetables, raw meats including kangaroo, emu, crocodile and chicken, brisket bones, ice cream and a select menu for ‘hoomans.’
If you’re looking for the pawfect day out with your pooch, then stop by DogHouse.
