Indulge Your Inner Child At Fake Food Park: Martí Guixé

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 14 May 2016
First things first, contrary to what the heading says, this is not just for kids. But you probably should be in touch with your inner child – or have a big love for food! This June, Catalan designer Martí Guixé, acclaimed as the ‘father of food design’, is setting up a giant colourful, custom-designed kitchen surrounded by dining booths in the heart of Melbourne at the NGV. Renowned for his playful and experimental approach to food and food design (ever tried breathing in the molecules of vaporised food?), Martí Guixé’s Fake Food Park is a vibrant and interactive, large-scale exhibition to inspire a rethinking of the ways we eat and our attitudes to familiar foods.

📅 June 11 – September 11, 2016

📍 National Gallery of Victoria, 180 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne VIC +61 (03) 8620 2222
