Ghost Stories Is Creeping Into Melbourne’s National Theatre

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 28 July 2016
After seasons in London and Sydney, Ghost Stories is creeping into Melbourne’s National Theatre. Written by Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman, this psychologically thrilling theatrical production first opened in 2010, and it continues to horrify all those who dare to buy tickets. Half a million people worldwide have succumbed to the 80-minute play, and now it’s your turn to be terrified. The night begins with a lecture from a parapsychologist aiming to disprove ghost stories but who reveals three particularly eerie tales that will have your skin crawling and heart racing. The first is that of a lonely night watchman, the second of a driver who travels through the woods and the third of a father-to-be who’s visited by a poltergeist in his unborn child’s nursery. Screams will fill the audience as the tension increases during this thoroughly entertaining show. Just be sure to sleep with the light on that night.
