Cirque De La Symphonie Comes To Melbourne

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 24 June 2016
Led by conductor Benjamin Northey, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be joined by Cirque de la Symphonie to bring you a theatrical performance unlike any you have ever seen. After a sold-out world tour, Melbourne’s Hamer Hall will host two nights of circus artistry perfectly choreographed to classical masterpieces and contemporary tunes. Songs will include Dvořák’s Carnival, Bizet’s Carmen Suite Nos. 1 and 2, Smetana’s The Bartered Bride: Dance of the Comedians, Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake Suite: excerpts and Sibelius Finlandia. Watch on as aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers, and strongmen perform daring and astonishing illusions and stunts. This will be one night at the symphony that you’ll never forget.
