Our heritage is more than the sum of our collective memory. Part of it is also all the things that have been lost, forgotten or deliberately concealed. This year, the organisers of the 2016 National Trust Heritage Festival are asking participants to dig deep, to discover the past and rediscover the region and its history for the benefit of over 250,000 expected visitors. With over 300 events happening across the region, this is not only a monumental community-driven effort but also a great opportunity for everyone to learn something new about the historic beginnings of Victoria and the people who settled here.
