This historic schoolhouse – converted into a secluded country B&B – is nestled among five picturesque acres of grounds in the heart of rural Rappahannock. The Blue Door Kitchen and Inn offers four spacious yet cozy rooms for overnight guests, as well as a traditional pub, terrace and farm-to-table restaurant. Black Dog Farm Inn offers a welcoming home-from-home environment amid 23 acres (9ha) of manicured gardens, stables and a babbling brook – as well as unrivaled panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah National Park and the historic Skyline Drive.
