Cane Rosso

One of the best pizza places in Dallas, Cane Rosso makes Neapolitan, wood-fired pizzas. The mid-range dining experience will get you a winning margherita pizza or the savory bacon marmalade with peppery arugula. Although the pizza loaded with fresh ingredients, patrons won’t need a side of sauce here. Inside, a sign reads ‘side of delicious ranch dressing for $1,000,’ because their pizza is that good. On Wednesday nights they have BYOB night, and also, order the spicy and sweet honey bastard on the secret menu.

Cavalli Pizza

Located just outside of Dallas in Irving, Cavalli Pizza was a must-have on this list. Run by the first-generation Cavalli family, it is agreed by all who come by that Cavalli creates a perfect slice of pie. Certified by the Associazione Pizzauoli Napoletani, which certifies businesses who make authentic and quality Neapolitan pizza, they create a mouth-watering experience with all of their pies. Cooked in 900 degree ovens and made with imported ingredients from Italy, save yourself the price of plane ticket and eat here if you’re in the area.

Fireside Pizza

The original location, just off historical Henderson, offers some of the best wood-fired pizza you’ll find in Dallas. ‘Triple Roni,’ a margherita-like pizza with truffle oil and pepperoni is a crowd-pleaser, but also get the must-try burrata pesto pie. Be sure to come early on weekends.

Zoli’s NY Pizza

Although very different from the other pizza restaurants, Zoli’s is just as good. The acclaimed pizza spot is a nice alternative to Grimaldi’s, which originates in NYC, but Zoli’s also serves New York-style pizza. Check out their nice selection of specialty pizzas, like the white pie and chicken bacon ranch.

Olivella’s Neo Pizza Napoletana

Olivella’s Neo Pizza might have some of the best pizza in Dallas, thanks to the old family recipe they use from Naples. From mouth-watering margherita pizza to their black truffle pie, Olivella’s uses stand-out fresh ingredients. The pizzeria offers both southern and northern Italian styles of crust, in their thin Neapolitan and very thin Romanesque pie. Luckily, you can get half-priced bottles of wine Wednesday through Thursday, and all week long from 3PM-6PM you can get a free cheese metro pizza when you order a metro for take-out.
