Hopdoddy Burger Bar

Hopdoddy is a popular place to grab a burger in Dallas. Originally from Austin, the burger joint grinds their own meat, hand cuts their own fries, bakes their bread and churns their own ice cream. Try the Llano Poblano burger with roasted poblano chiles and chipolte mayo. In addition, they also have a magic ‘shroom’ burger, and the ahi tuna or the lamb greek burger really hit the spot as well. An added bonus is that their ingredients are all-natural, and their meat is taken from humanely raised cows with no antibiotics or hormones.

Uncle Uber’s

Uncle Uber’s might be known mostly for its sandwiches, but patrons who are smart order the burger and rave about it. There is a decent choice of toppings, but a good bet is to get the double with the habanero ranch dressing. Plus, the quarter pound parties are cooked and seasoned to perfection, coming with lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle. Add in two grilled buns, and you’ll leave happy.

Twisted Root Burger Co

Twisted Root Burger Co serves up some of the best burgers you’ll ever have. The are numerous toppings available for your custom-made burgers. Their creative concoctions span from “The Western” to “Enough Said”. There are also a few healthy options on the menu. If you’re looking to relax with a date, try one of their adult milkshakes.

Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House

The East Dallas hot spot has an excellent beer selection, expertly crafted cocktails and mouthwatering waffle fries. However, the standout and focus is on their burgers. There are many options that will satisfy patrons, but the Pepper Bomb is one of their instant classics. Covered in spicy house-made harissa, roasted tomatoes and chipotle cheddar, this burger really turns up the heat. Another favorite to try is the Loretta burger with onion-bacon jam and bleu cheese.

Keller’s Drive-In

Keller’s is known for their poppyseed buns and their cooked-to-order burgers. The old-school drive-in is a great way to experience an atmosphere of the classic 1950s burger joints. After you park, turn your blinkers on to show that you are ready to order, and the waiters will even bring you beer. They are cash only, but you can get a burger, fries and a shake for around $5. Make sure you get plenty of sauce on those burgers.
