Get Weird At Keep Austin Weird Festival

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 2 June 2016
Let your freak flag fly freely at the 2016 Keep Austin Weird Fest & 5K. This Austin event sends colorful costumes and wacky characters pouring out into the streets for the ‘slowest race ever.’ This 5K is all about having a good time and Keeping Austin Weird. The festival begins at 3PM with music, food, beer, and fun. Kids get in free and can play in the kid’s fun center. Later in the evening, the runners line up and the 5K begins. The 5K features 25 Fun Stops with surprise activities for the runners to compete in. The 5K is not timed, so bring your own tracker if you would like to keep track of your stats. Festival goers and 5K participants are encouraged to wear their brightest, craziest costumes.
