Experience Latin American Culture Through Film

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 31 March 2016
Experience four days of films that represent the diverse and changing culture of film in Latin America at the 11th Annual Latin Wave: New Films from Latin America. Latin American film specialist Diana Sanchez has expertly chosen the features for this year’s festival. Included in this year’s selections are three-Oscar nominated films: Ciro Gurra’s Embrace of the Serpent, Gabriel Osorio’s Bear Story, and Ale Abreu’s Boy and the World. In collaboration with Fundación PROA, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston has premiered dozens of films at the festival. Films are in a diverse set of languages — from Maya to Portuguese to Spanish — but most will be presented with English subtitles.

📅 April 28 – May 1

📍Museum of Fine Arts Houston, 1001 Bissonnet St, Houston, TX, USA
