Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 2 May 2016
The Pecan Street Festival is a two-day, semi-annual event that happens every May and September in Austin. For the past 39 years, the festival has brought art, crafts, and music to Sixth Street, which was once known as Pecan Street. Attendees can expect musical performances on three stages from over 50 bands including local favorites like Knifight, Baseline Drift, and Ume. Craft vendors line the street selling handmade jewelry, clothing, candles, art, and more. If you get hungry, 30 food vendors will have booths with healthy options like fresh smoothies and sweet favorites to satisfy your cravings. The event is great for the entire family, with kid-friendly attractions included.
