Austin is home to many things and people, like amazing live music, the original Whole Foods, The Alamo Draft House, and famous celebrities. From new residents to former UT grads, here’s a list of celebrities that call Austin home, or at least claim it as one of their homes.

Willie Nelson

Although Willie lives in Maui, he also owns a ranch near Austin and frequents the city. He initially moved to Austin in 1972 after retiring, but then Austin’s music scene inspired a phenomenal comeback. You can usually see him during SXSW hitting some of Austin’s most popular music venues.

Austin is also home to his production studio, Trouble Makers. Some of his movies include Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Spy Kids. During Obama’s most recent visit to Austin, he made a stop at Rodriguez’s castle-like mansion in West Austin.
