Celebrate Japanese and Japanese American traditions at Japan Festival Houston. Japan Festival is celebrating it’s 23rd year with food, music, and art at Hermann Park. Main attractions include the Mikoshi Parade, cosplay competition, and J-fashion show. The main stage will have performances by Kolter Taiko, Otaku Acoustic, New York Ya Sento, and more. For other entertainment, there will be a martial arts stage with demonstrations by aikido, karate, and iaido teams from the region. Traditional Japanese games are fun for adults and children. Be sure to work up an appetite and try some Japanese food like onigiri and hot Japanese curry.
