Dallas is a melting pot of cultures, and if you dig deep enough, you’ll find decadent food from around the world to match the diversity. If you’re itching to travel but don’t have the funds, let these 10 restaurants take you on a journey.

1. Rise nº1 Salon De Soufflé

Restaurant, French, Dessert

Imagine a romantic night out in Paris, dining with your significant other in a quaint restaurant. Now imagine being able to get that same experience in Dallas. Rise is a Francophile’s dream; twinkling lights hang above your head as you eat your way through decadent soufflés and cheeses. This is the perfect spot for an intimate date. Besides being a truly authentic French restaurant, Rise is environmentally conscious and uses only recycled cups and plates.

2. Ziziki’s

Restaurant, Greek

Ziziki’s surpasses the competition with authentic flavors and spices. Take one step inside and you’re immediately greeted with the aroma and ambiance you’d expect from a restaurant in Greece. Romantic lighting and fine wines mixed with delicious lamb dishes make for a perfect faux-night-out in Greece.

3. Havana Café

Cafe, Restaurant, Cuban

The Havana Café makes you feel right at home with its family ambiance and homemade meals. You can always expect this place to be packed, as the authentic Cuban flavor brings heavy traffic. Anything with meat has plenty of seasoning and Latin flavors. Make sure to save room for the flan!

4. Trinity Hall Irish Pub

Pub, Restaurant, Irish, Pub Grub

You can never go wrong with a classic Irish pub, and thankfully, it’s never hard to find one. However, when you’re looking for an extraordinary Irish experience, head to Trinity Hall. Exceptionally friendly staff, the aroma of Guinness in the air, and live music makes you feel like you’re right in the center of Wellington Quay in Dublin. Head in for a pint or for a bowl of traditional Irish stew; either way you’re guaranteed a great time.

5. Monkey King Noodle Co.

Restaurant, Chinese

While much of the Chinese food around Dallas may seem Americanized or mainstream, Monkey King Noodle Co. does it right with traditional entrées to satisfy your Chinese cravings. The flavors and aromas make for the perfect ambiance in which to chow down. Start off with the freshly prepared soup dumplings, then prepare to have your taste buds jump for joy with the beef noodle soup.

6. Princi Italia

Restaurant, Italian

At Dallas’s beloved Princi Italia, authentic Italian flavors meet modern dishes. The only negative to this restaurant is that it serves such an abundance of delicious wines and appetizers that by the time dinner comes, you’re already full. Thankfully, like many restaurants in Italy, this is a perfect place to take your time with dinner and enjoy the company around you. Make sure to save room for dessert!

7. Mumtaz Indian Restrauant

Restaurant, Indian

With the beautiful décor covering the walls and the aroma of curry filling the air, Mumtaz Indian Restaurant is a classic getaway spot when you want the Indian experience. Enjoy the buffet on Mondays and Sundays, or dine in on another evening; either way, you can expect the flavors to be top notch.

8. Kuby’s Sausage House

Kuby’s Sausage House

When you look at the outside of Kuby’s, you feel like you’ve stepped onto the streets of Germany. Take a step inside and you’re greeted with the aroma of delicious meats and classic German décor. Choose to dine in for some incredible sausage or swing by the shop and take the meat home with you.
