THE EXPERIENCE

With local Joe Nashville leading the walking tour, you’ll experience a focus on the history of Nashville and Tennessee starting at the state of Tennessee Legislative and Capital buildings and moving through downtown Nashville.

This narrated walking tour includes stories of Nashville’s history and the event’s that evolved Nashville into the vibrant city is today. From the late 1700’s settlement of Ft. Nashborough, historical statues of Tennessee leaders, key sites of the women’s suffrage & civil rights movements, and other notable historical landmarks – Nashville has a story to tell.

You’ll even see a statue of one famous Tennessean, a relative of Joe, that made World War I history.

Of course, no historical tour is complete without a little music history; along with a few scoundrels, colorful characters, political scandals, and discussion of Nashville’s Metropolitan form of government.
