Submit to essential oils, sip cucumber water and allow yourself a few much-needed slow exhalations at one of the top spa retreats in Nashville. Whether you’re seeking a couple’s massage with your special someone, the solitary indulgence of a brightening facial or a shameless full spa day featuring every treatment under the sun, we know how to “treat yo’self” at the best spa hotels in the country-music capital of Tennessee, bookable on Culture Trip.

1. The Hermitage Hotel, for lemon and lavender body scrubs

The Hermitage is one of the most historical spa hotels in Tennessee. Opened in 1910, the building was Nashville’s third skyscraper and, as no expense was spared in its construction, it became known as the city’s first million dollar hotel. More than 100 years later, it still has its period looks. The treatments in the spa, however, are a little more modern: think body scrubs with lavender, lemon or coffee and body wraps with Mylar (heat reflective) sheets.

2. Kimpton Aertson Hotel, an IHG Hotel, for unique facials

A top spa in Nashville, the Kimpton Aertson Hotel’s USPs include a rooftop pool and an American brasserie with a Chef’s Table experience. The Woodhouse Spa, meanwhile, is the only spa in Tennessee that offers Minkyti facials. The word Minkyti translates as “to knead,” and the treatment is designed to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin. Other signature therapies include a Lavender Dreams massage, to aid sleep, and the Soma – an ancient foot reflexology experience.

3. The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville, for an endless menu of treatments

Named Rose, the spa at the Joseph is up there with the best spas in Tennessee. It’s located on the 21st floor of this downtown hotel and pools out for more than 5,500sqft (510sqm). Facilities include experience showers, an ice fountain and a relaxation room. The treatment list, meanwhile, is highway-long. A café brûlé body scrub, a gold and frankincense facial and the spa’s signature Damascena Rose Indulgence experience are just a few of the highlights of the menu.

5. JW Marriott Nashville, for curated treatment programs

Prepare for flashes of sleek marble and steel, touches of gold and light-loving floor-to-ceiling windows at JW Marriott’s Nashville Spa. It elevates pampering to new degrees of indulgence, kicking off in the relaxation room, a beautiful pale temple. Any decision paralysis is overruled by a simple choice of four pampering personas: Calm, Indulge, Invigorate and Renew – so you can pick a track that fits your desired mood. Go laze post-treatment by the outdoor pool, edged with cool, shaded cabanas.

6. Omni Nashville Hotel, for a celebrity-worthy experience

Omni Nashville’s Mokara Spa is the place for star-seekers. The spa is routinely patronized by celebrities, here for the zen atmosphere of neutral tones and blossoming orchids. The A-list treatment begins the moment you are greeted and invited to don a plush robe. The clientele isn’t the only famous aspect of the spa – Mokara’s Aromatherapy Massage and Ultimate Facial are as prestigious as they come in the world of pampering. Factor in extra down time to sip your bubbly in the relaxation lounge before heading out the doors into the SoBro neighborhood.

7. The Bobby Hotel, for inner calm

The Bobby Hotel may be known for the infusion of music and art in its rooms, but what’s lesser known is its integration of artistry in its spa offerings. Tucked among live-music clubs, print shops and lounges in Printers Alley, the hotel has a pamper zone, the Spa at Bobby, with six inspired treatments, including Bobby’s very own favorite – the Inner Calm Relaxation Massage. You’ll be writing songs about the relaxing Swedish massage-inspired treatment before you leave.

8. Hutton Hotel, for aromatherapy

Located in Nashville’s West End neighborhood, just steps away from iconic Music Row, Hutton Hotel takes traditional room service to new heights: an in-room spa service. Sweat your sins out after a night’s Midtown adventures with the hotel’s seaweed body wrap, followed by Hutton’s signature massage. It even embodies the property’s signature scent – a delicate combination of rosemary and mint – to invigorate you for your next urban escapade. If you’d prefer not to get in a spa-lather in your room, Hutton offers select spa services in luxe treatment spaces.
