Food is served fresh and piping hot, including tortilla chips and house-made salsa. Try the carne asada or carnitas, both of which are full of spicy flavor. 9. Mike’s Drive-In Restaurant

Todd Freeman has owned and operated Mike’s Drive-In since 1984, but the restaurant has been open since 1971. Freeman has added some variation to the menu of the small chain, but the favorite is still Mike’s Special, a deluxe burger prepared with pepper-bacon, Tillamook cheddar cheese, an egg, and home-made thousand island dressing. All food is cooked fresh to order, so it’ll take a bit longer than your typical fast food restaurant. The drive-in is known for its dozens of milkshake flavors made with fresh ingredients. Dine inside or on one of the picnic tables outside the restaurant.
