Located in the heart of downtown, A Leap of Taste is a welcoming, local, art-adorned venue featuring coffee along with a variety of creative sweet and savory edibles. Procuring the best ingredients from local and sustainable sources whenever possible, the café tantalizes taste buds with a selection of baked goods, sandwiches (grilled or not), deli salads, soups, and more. The Italian roast beef sandwich with aged provolone cheese, olive tapenade, organic Krizo horseradish, organic greens, and tomato all on a choice of bread and the vegetarian sandwich with Gruyère and aged provolone, olive tapenade, original YUMM sauce, organic greens, and tomato are two great options.

A family-owned and operated establishment, Green Blade Bakery is an artisan bakery delighting customers with its sweet and savory products. Keeping the community firmly in mind, the baking team uses local ingredients whenever possible for its selection of made-from-scratch baked deliciousness. In addition to freshly baked breads, including sourdough baguettes, rustic ciabatta, cinnamon swirl, and oat bran butter bread to name but a few, sweet treats such as oat bran cinnamon rolls, apple-walnut cinnamon rolls, croissants, muffins, and scones along with other sweet treats are available as well. Visitors will also find calzones in meat and cheese, vegetarian, and deluxe varieties plus baguette sandwiches.

Mac & Cheese Steaks

Specializing in comforting macaroni and cheese plus cheesesteaks, Mac and Cheese Steaks is a tasty food truck tantalizing diners with its flavorful fare. Something for everyone, the mobile restaurant will entice both meat lovers and vegetarians. Notable highlights to try include the cheesesteak with a choice of beef, chicken, or tofu topped with red bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, plus Cheese Whiz or provolone, mac and cheese made with a creamy combination of Tillamook cheddar, parmesan, and mascarpone, and fries in regular, garlic, truffle, or duck fat varieties.

Mermaid Garden Cafe

Open for lunch only Monday through Friday, Mermaid Garden Cafe is a delightful place offering guests a selection of creative, flavorful dishes. Within a friendly environment, guests can sample everything from customizable salads to soup to pizza to paninis and wraps all of which will suit a variety of tastes. Enticing options include the spicy portobello panini with grilled portobello mushrooms, green chiles, tomatoes, red onions, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle aioli on sourdough bread and the turkey curry wrap with sliced turkey, cucumbers, celery, toasted almonds, dried cranberries, romaine lettuce, and lightly curried cream cheese on a garlic-herb tortilla.

Nibbley’s

Satisfying diners for over 40 years, Nibbley’s is owned by Debbie Caldwell had the honor of being named Best of the Road by Rand McNally in 2010 and 2013 due to its great cuisine, which is varied, ensuring that many guests will find something to tickle their taste buds. Nibbley’s also has a bakery with cakes, bars, pies, and more.

Rodeos Pizza & Saladeria

A newer addition to Klamath Falls’ dining scene, Rodeos Pizza and Saladeria is a locally owned and operated venue featuring made-from-scratch pizza and salads. Wanting to create a quality product with tasty results, the culinary team makes the dough from scratch along with the sauce plus grates fresh mozzarella daily and cuts salad greens in-house. Open Tuesday through Sunday, highlights from the menu include the tomapeño pizza topped with sliced tomatillos, mild whole green chiles, jalapeños, blue agave, and cumin and the farmhouse pizza with chicken, bacon, sweet onion, garlic, arugula, and fresh parmesan. A large assortment of beverages, including soda, tea, ciders, and beers, are also available.

Thai Orchid Cafe

Thai Orchid Cafe is a family-owned operation serving guests an array of exotic Thai delicacies. An intimate venue that is open daily, the café’s menu is large and features everything from appetizers to salads to soups to meat, seafood, and vegetarian entrées to noodles to fried rice and much more. A satisfying meal might begin with the popular fried vegetarian egg rolls served with a sweet plum sauce followed by pad khing, which includes a choice of meat sautéed with a flavorful combination of ginger, scallion, white onion, tomato, and black mushrooms, or veggie pik khing featuring spicy green beans and mushroom in a mild kaffir lime sauce.

Owned by Aaron Webb, this full-service restaurant serves lunch and dinner seven days of the week within a friendly atmosphere. Diners can feast upon must-try options such as St. Louis-style ribs, which are dry rubbed and slow cooked, the slow smoked Kansas City BBQ Brisket, and the tri-tip dip sandwich served with au jus. Several side dishes, including baked potato salad, green beans with bacon, Creole rice, and cheesy corn, plus starters and salads are also great options.
