Candy lovers Joey and Chris Jenco, real-life brothers, opened Jenco Brothers’ Candy on Cincinnati’s West McMillan Street in 2013. After growing up visiting sweet shops wherever they could, they decided to open one of their own. Since Joey graduated from Xavier University, and Cincinnati is their grandparents’ hometown, the brothers have always had an affinity for The Queen City, making it an ideal spot for their old-school bulk candy store.
Jenco Brothers’ Candy is sleekly designed with a kitschy, modern feel and a pop-art aesthetic. Best known for its colorful array of Jelly Belly canisters and M&M Colorworks display, the sweet shop allows you to mix and match your favorites, choosing from a wide variety of retro sweets, novelty candies, handmade chocolates, and flavored popcorns.
Locals love Jenco Brothers’ Ohio favorites like homemade Buckeyes and chocolate-covered bacon, as well as vintage treats such as candy buttons and every kind of salt water taffy and sour gummy flavor imaginable, available to load into a bag for just $4 per pound. Over 240 bins of candies make for a fun-filled afternoon of handpicking your favorites to give as a gift or snack on at home.
If you prefer salty snacks to sweet treats, you might want to try the Jenco Brothers’ signature popcorn varieties. All popcorn is made in-house and popped fresh daily. You can mix and match traditional kettle corn with Jenco specialties, including Grippo’s BBQ Cheddar, white cheddar, and bacon caramel, as well as sweet-and-salty flavors such as Buckeye popcorn, cookies ‘n’ cream, birthday cake, and sea salt caramel. Choose six small bags for $20 or six medium bags for $30, or try monthly flavors at steep discounts.
Jenco Brothers’ Candy also sells all of their snacks and candies at their online store. And if you love Jenco Brothers’ popcorn enough, you can join the Flavor of the Month club for as little as $15 a month and get a new variety of freshly popped popcorn delivered to your home every 30 days.
