Dumbo, which stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, is a historic district of New York City known for its cobbled streets, arts and tech communities, and trendy shops and restaurants. Check out our shortlist of the five best hotels in the area.

Sitting at the junction of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, Dumbo has experienced something of a cultural revival in recent years. The location makes it easy to explore Dumbo as well as Brooklyn Heights and Fort Greene.
