A local waterfront favorite, Pier 1 Riverside Park South has been known as a summer go-to spot for years. But park attendance has only increased since it started hosting summer movie screenings. Come watch Edward Scizzorhands, a Johnny Depp classic for free. Seating is first come, first serve, but there’s not a bad seat to be had at this park.

Pride and Prejudice (July 9th) At 72nd Track and Lawn

Delve into the romantic world of Jane Austen and nineteenth century England in this classic movie adaption, starring Kiera Knightley and Matthew MacFayden. Surrounded by a large running track, 72nd Track and Lawn is frequented by local runners and joggers. Bring a blanket and get there quick – seating areas fill up fast.

Back To The Future II (July 13) at the 103rd Street Footbridge (Randall’s Island Park)

Dirty Dancing (July 22nd) At McCarren Park

35 acres of grass and playgrounds, McCarren Park has been a Brooklyn favorite since its inception over 100 years ago. Come see Dirty Dancing with your significant other and join a game of pickup soccer afterwards at one of the many open fields. Don’t let anyone put baby in a corner kick, though.
