There’s a Massive New Food Hall in Brooklyn and Here’s What to Eat There

New York’s obsession with food halls isn’t yet ebbing. A massive new one in Downtown Brooklyn is about to join the throng.

NYC loves a food hall. They’re where you can find a diverse variety of relatively cheap foodstuffs in a small area—crowd-pleasing and great for ‘gramming. We’ve seen quite a few open throughout the city in the past few years, a trend that shows no signs of slowing.

DeKalb Market Hall will be the latest to join the group when it opens tomorrow, June 16. It’ll house more than 40 food vendors, and the big news here is that among them will be a few city-favorite spots opening their first Brooklyn outposts.

Katz’s Delicatessen, for one, will have a stall there. It’ll be the second-ever location for the beloved home of NYC’s best pastrami sandwich. Queens’ beloved street-food fave Arepa Lady will have her first Brooklyn location at the food hall. And Dulcinea—you’ll recall we’re big fans of their churro ice cream sandwiches—of course is already in Brooklyn at both locations of Smorgasburg, but this will be the sweetery’s first weekday spot.

The current list of vendors is below, with more to be announced.
