Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009, Spring House, in Barryville, New York, was built in 1880 and was until recently in near continuous use as a hotel. Brushing the Pennsylvania border on the banks of the Delaware River, the hamlet of Barryville is only a two-hour drive from New York City, and in the middle of picturesque countryside. The Erie Hotel & Restaurant, Port Jervis

A classic hotel in a classic building – built in 1890 as a railroad hotel – the Erie retains a lot of that frontier, new world charm.
