Every New Yorker knows that the weekend means one thing: an indulgent spread of bacon, eggs, waffles and booze, otherwise known as brunch. While you may already have a go-to spot for this weekend social event, East Ville is redefining the traditional brunch in exciting new ways.

East Ville is an entity of Webster Hall that has been bringing creative, themed events to the iconic New York City venue since 2013. The last event, East Ville des Foiles, transported guests back to the 1920s for the fourth annual Beer and Whiskey festival, with burlesque, swing jazz bands, and circus performers. The venue certainly knows how to throw an exciting party.

After hosting Prohibition Era, Hoedown, and carnival-themed festivals, the minds behind East Ville have now set their sights on shaking up the traditional weekend brunch. The venue hopes to reinvent the meal by bringing the same excitement and novelty of the aforementioned festivals to their newest event, Websy Boozy. For those who feel that their weekend brunch outings have become monotonous, fear no more.

The brunch party will offer the best in authentic regional cuisine, music, and libations, focusing on the geographic region of the Caribbean. The island-themed event will take brunch to a new level, making it an immersive cultural experience.

On July 9th, take a trip to tropical paradise with island takes on traditional brunch classics – think jerk chicken with butter rum waffles – as well as authentic Caribbean cuisine, including codfish fritters and callaloo spring rolls provided by Vivid Caribbean American Bistro. In addition, STOLEN Rum will be serving island cocktails essential to any tropical getaway. Aged in ex-whiskey barrels in the Caribbean, STOLEN Smoked is a column-distilled rum infused with a unique blend of natural ingredients from around the world, including coffee beans from Colombia, vanilla from Madagascar and fenugreek from Morocco.

While sipping on a STOLEN banana colada, guests will be transported to the islands with the sounds of Caribbean music performed live by Root Shock. The band blends roots reggae, dancehall, heavy drums, and bass into upbeat dance music. After thoroughly boozing it up, guests can stumble over to the photo booth and make sure their time in the Caribbean has been well-documented.

A $25 ticket will guarantee access to all of the cocktails, food and live music, while a $35 ticket also includes two food vouchers that are redeemable at the event. Tickets can be purchased through the event website.
