Art Meets Politics At Jack Shainman Gallery's 'For Freedoms'

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 28 June 2016
Art sparks a political conversation at Jack Shainman Gallery’s thought-provoking exhibition, For Freedoms. Reflecting upon various hot-button issues surrounding the 2016 American presidential election, For Freedoms questions the idea of ‘freedom’ itself, and spotlights the impact of money on American politics. For Freedoms co-founder Eric Gottesman (alongside co-founder Hank Willis Thomas) explains, “Our mission is to use the super PAC apparatus to encourage new forms of critical discourse surrounding the 2016 presidential election.” So if you’ve ever wondered where and how art can fit into politics, explore For Freedoms to find out.

📅 Tuesday, June 7th – Friday, July 29th, 2016: Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 6pm
