With a stretch of winter still ahead, Adidas drops a new sneaker that’s white-hot and tailor-made for city dwellers (who love sneakers).
If you’re on the East Coast, you know that winter 2018 has been bitter. To help make the cold more tolerable, Adidas has launched a new silhouette for sneakerheads, skaters, and fashionistas alike. Yes, that’s right, all three personalities will want to wear the City Cup, available at Adidas retailers in the U.S. and the Adidas Skateboarding website.
The full-grain leather City Cup retails for $95 worldwide and following colorways with suede construction are available starting at $80 exclusively at specialty skate retailers.
The interior of the City Cup is constructed with a breathable mesh lining, while the exterior is finished with a “vulcanized rubber heel-counter emblazoned with a linear trefoil heel logo,” according to the Adidas press release. The result? A shoe that’s classic, clean, and comfortable. It’s also an ideal skate shoe, providing grip and stability for the winter warriors who brave the cold New York pavement to shred.
In step with current trends, the City Cup’s ’90s aesthetic resembles the Balenciaga white trainer that style mavens are pairing with feminine classics, like a camel fur coat. This unisex shoe offers comfort for ladies who have places to go, and still want to look cute.
All in all, this drop is one versatile shoe.
