This grilled cheese donut sandwich in New York City is a thing of beautiful debauchery.
Were you alone this Valentine’s Day? Or worse, single this Valentine’s Day stuffing your face with a tub of Ben and Jerry’s and eating peanut butter and jelly out the jar? Don’t worry, we were too. If you were one of those single unfortunates (we’re just playing, there’s nothing wrong with being single at all) we just found you the new bae in the form of a Flamin’ Hot Donut Grilled Cheese at NYC‘s Clinton Hall.
The FiDi craft-beer hall recently partnered up with the Doughnut Project to create these NSFW cheesy version of the bakeries habanero-bacon donut. What’s that you ask? A treat like no other, which is sliced in half, drizzled with butter and topped with hot, stringy mozzarella cheese before being thrown into a griddle… #Cheesegasm.
After the all the melting, they then loop the finished donut through a pretzel hanger, making the cheese extra oozier. What’s even better is that you can dip the thing straight into a bowl of homemade tomato soup! Sad news is that only twenty of these bad boys will be available each day (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, only). The promotion is expected to run for a month.
Grab yours from Friday, February 17th, and if you don’t live in the Big Apple, we suggest you start booking your flights now. Like, right now.
