A “Bob’s Burgers” Pop-Up Just Opened in New York City

For one week only (and for the first time ever in New York City!), fans of the hit Fox show can feast on Bob’s Burgers—and we’re not talking about a TV marathon. Take a cue from Bob’s regular Teddy, and get your burger-a-day at this pun-pushing pop-up.

At the “7 Days of Bob’s Burgers at Chefs Club Counter,” themed burgers and fan freak-outs are what’s on the menu. Brought to you by Chef Alvin Cailan, the mastermind behind food-world favorite Eggslut, this week-long tribute will take over Manhattan’s Chefs Club Counter, where Cailan is serving as chef-in-residence. Here, each day will feature a different straight-from-the-show burger taken from the fictional restaurant’s fan-favorite “Burger of the Day” chalkboard. If the wild success of last year’s Bob’s Burgers pop-up in Los Angeles (another of Cailan’s creations) is any indication, hungry fans should start saving their appetites—and lining up—now.

With puns and patties that would make Bob himself proud, the pop-up’s burgers span several of the show’s seasons and include highlights such as the Pat Benatar-inspired “Hit Me with Your Best Shallot” burger and the “We’re Here, We’re Gruyère, Get Used to It” burger. Just as Bob would have it, all burgers start with a beef patty, which is dressed up with either four types of cheddar cheese (as seen on the “Don’t You Four Cheddar ‘Bout Me” burger); feta cheese and mayo-mustard spread (featured on the “Never Been Feta” burger—or the “Foot Feta-ish” burger, if you ask Louise); or black garlic spread with mozzarella and spinach (appearing on the pop-up’s Christmas Eve edition “Bet it all on Black Garlic” burger).

Of course, a fan base as passionate as Bob’s wouldn’t be satisfied with food alone. That’s why, in addition to Bob’s own burgers, the pop-up will feature posters, a Bob’s Burgers flag, and a real-life “Burger of the Day” chalkboard. What’s more, each meal (a burger with fries will run you $20) includes show swag, such as Bob’s Burgers keychains and stickers. In the spirit of the season, the pop-up will donate proceeds to the Los Angeles Fire Department, which is currently battling wildfires ravaging the West Coast. The most fun you’ll have giving back all year, a burger at Bob’s—sorry, Chef Cailan’s—will have you blissfully uttering Tina’s catchphrase, “Uhhhhh.”
