The city of Hoboken isn’t just a playground for adults, it’s also an amazing spot to raise and visit with kids. From kid-friendly gyms and playgrounds to educational activities that parents will even enjoy, there’s plenty to do with your little ones.

Check out our guide to the best things you can do with kids in Hoboken, New Jersey.

1. Urban Jungle Play

Amusement Park

Let your little one run around inside Urban Jungle Play’s indoor children’s amusement park. With a jungle-inspired play area, workshops and even a daycare, it’s an easy go-to for parents looking to entertain their kids.

2. Hoboken Fire Department Museum

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a kid (or an adult, for that matter) who doesn’t think fire trucks are the coolest thing ever. Take them to the Hoboken Fire Department Museum to see and play on historical fire trucks. Plus, there’s a free tour geared for kids aged two and up.

4. My Gym

Amusement Park, Fitness Studio, Gym

In need of a kid-friendly play area? Take them to My Gym where they can crawl through the play tunnels, take “gym” classes and learn a new skill or enroll in a camp. They are open to all ages and offer special classes for siblings to make time away from Mom or Dad a little easier.

Mommy & Me Zumbini

Enjoy a fun, silly and zumba-inspired class that’s kid-friendly and outdoors. It’s totally free and open to kids up to four-years-old and mothers with any kind of dance experience. Join instructors in Elysian Park or Pier A Park during the summer for class. Check the event schedule for time, dates and location.

5. Castle Point Skate Park

Skate Park

Just north of Pier C is an outdoor, waterfront skatepark that’s open to all levels. Got a kid that loves their scooter, roller skates or is a budding skateboarder? Take them here! It’s also a great spot for some “cool big kid” watching for your little ones to get inspired.

6. Pier C Park

Pier C is a waterfront park that’s a half-acre of playground, sandbox, green space and pure fun. It’s the best spot to take young kids in Hoboken and with the New York City skyline as the backdrop, not too shabby for adults, either.
