Jean Philippe Patisserie

The genius behind Jean Philippe Patisserie is none other than Chef Jean Philippe Maury. From the South of France, Chef Jean Philippe is a master when it comes to pastry and chocolate; indeed, he and his teammates won the gold medal at the 2002 World Pastry Championship. He now operates two patisseries within Las Vegas — one at Bellagio and the other at ARIA — that feature a host of mouth-watering delicacies, including pastries, chocolate, and gelato, which can be sampled every day and night. The Bellagio outfit is a particularly unique space as it houses the world’s largest chocolate fountain, which was created by the chef.

Located in Chinatown away from the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip sits Aburiya Raku, a restaurant renowned for its authentic Japanese cuisine. In 1939 Mr. Paul Pink established a hot dog stand that would become one of the most famous joints to serve top-quality hot dogs. Fast-forward to the 2000s and Pink’s is now a popular destination in Las Vegas where locals, tourists, and even a celebrity or two go to sample a variety of tasty hot dogs. From classic dogs to speciality dogs, from burgers to vegetarian options, the menu has a wide selection of items surely to appeal to many tastes. Highlights include the chilli cheese dog, with American cheese, chilli, mustard, and onions; the spicy Mojave dog made with a polish sausage, nacho cheese, jalapeños, grilled onions, guacamole, and tomatoes; plus several sides, including beer-battered onion rings and French fries.

The Barrymore

The brainchild of award-winning chef Anthony Meidenbauer and Billy Richardson, The Barrymore is an eatery featuring American classic fare in a swanky old-school atmosphere that delights locals and tourists alike. Open seven days a week for dinner, the menu consists of signature dishes plus seasonal offerings with highlights being the pan-roasted free-range chicken with mascarpone polenta, haricot vert, pearl onions, and natural jus and the vadouvan squash curry with squash and root vegetables in a rich curry with Moroccan-style couscous. Located downtown near attractions, such as the Fremont Street Experience, the Smith Center, and the Neon Museum, The Goodwich is a hip eatery specialising in tasty affordable sandwiches. Guests can either walk up and order, or they can visit Dino’s Lounge and have their sandwich delivered there. Open seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, this sandwich shop serves tasty breakfast and lunch varieties all made-from-scratch, including cinnamon toast with butter, cinnamon sugar, and cream cheese; the pig and grits made with pork butt and belly, bacon cheddar grits, egg, and Tabasco rouge; and the chicken with provolone, spring onions, tarragon, pesto, and crispy chicken skin.
