A suburb of Kansas City, Liberty is a quaint place with a historic downtown area. Stroll the avenues lined with architectural gems, and explore one of Liberty’s many boutiques and artisan workshops. Of course, Liberty is also home to several outstanding restaurants and and cafes. Here are our favorites.

1. Rock and Run Brewery

Rock and Run Brewery serves new American cuisine with an emphasis on craft beer. The industrial interior features all the fixings of a typical sports bar but with more elevated style. The restaurant also has large roll-up doors, which give you the feeling of being outdoors whilst still being protected from the elements. Enjoy one of their house beer-tasting flights alongside a yummy burger, pulled pork sandwich, salad, or wood-fired pizza. All food is farm-to-table, so you can rest assured it is sustainably sourced. Rock and Run Brewery is spacious enough to accommodate large groups on game day as well.

2. Luigi’s Italian Restaurant

As you may have guessed by the name, Luigi’s Italian Restaurant serves classic Italian fare. The Mediterranean style interior includes a wine bar and artwork by iconic Italian painters. Plus, each meal comes with fresh Italian bread and olive oil. Come for lunch to enjoy one of Luigi’s lunch specials that also include a salad. Of course, you ought to finish off your meal with their perfect tiramisu no matter which time of day you come here. Luigi’s also delivers pizzas.

Korma Sutra is our top pick for Indian cuisine in Liberty. They put on an excellent lunch buffet and offer all kinds of traditional dishes like saag, butter chicken, and tikka masala. Korma Sutra even serves complimentary chutneys and roti! If you want to get extra fancy, you can upgrade from regular to garlic naan with fresh herbs. Pair your meal with a mango lassi or end it with some sweet rice pudding. The staff is very friendly, and on slower nights, they will let you sample different lassis, teas, and desserts. It makes for a spacious and comfortable venue to enjoy time catching up with family and friends.

One of their most notorious menu items is the Hawaiian slider, which consists of a medley of imitation crabmeat and pulled pork on special Hawaiian bread. Much of the menu offerings also involve tasty grilled or smoked meats, but they also make tasty Thai noodles and even ramen.
