Flint, Michigan Metal Band First to Feature On-Screen Sex in Music Video? (NSFW)

Some people use sex to travel the world. Some people experience sex in virtual reality. And some people use sex in music videos to say, “‘fuck you’ to people who observe queerness from the outside like fish in an aquarium.”

For Flint, Michigan metal band King 810, sexual intercourse is depicted in their latest music video to conjure “the darkness and desperation of sexuality.”

“La Petite Mort,” which translates to “The Little Death,” features adult film stars Jenna Foxx, Jasmine Summers, Amber Ivy, Lily Jordan, Alex Legend, and Jake Jace doing what they do best (orgy) in black and white, and was premiered on the adult video streaming site Pornhub.

“A lot of the ideas for our videos came together in the song writing process. This one was no exception,” vocalist and video director David Gunn said in the press release. “The record touches on sex in a lot of ways. It used to be that sex and rock and roll went hand in hand, but that archetype has been reconstructed over the years to make way for a safe/tame/boring/politically correct culture, which we have never belonged to. It’s sad that something so inherent and necessary has become taboo, but we have done what we always do and that is to follow the art wherever it must go regardless of how uncharted the territory may be.”

According to the press release, the band is “the first to ever incorporate on-screen sex in an 8-minute long music video.” However, considering Australian artist Brendan Maclean’s kink-porn-filled “House of Air” video released in February, this statement seems questionable. Culture Trip has reached out to Pornhub for comment and will update the post if and when we receive a response.

Pornhub previously premiered music videos from artists such as Xiu Xiu and CJ Fly, and even produced a filth-free video for Mykki Blanco last year. In 2014, the site launched Pornhub Records, and while the label has remained largely silent since its inception, having signed no artists yet, it has teamed up with artists like Waka Flocka and LMFAO’s Redfoo for one-off tracks.
