However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of nightclubs where you can lose yourself to the vibes of the music and atmosphere. Baltimore, Maryland, is more than its stereotypes that plague the city. It has the nightlife that can take you from downtown Baltimore City all the way to suburban Baltimore County. Identity Ultra Lounge

Identity Ultra Lounge prides itself on being known for its party people being able to “be themselves.” This nightclub is one that is off the beaten path, but it’ll result in good times being had and a night that you’ll want to re-create the following weekend. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the people you meet, the updated modern atmosphere, along with the various drink specials they have on the weekend. The food and drinks are good and reasonably priced. At Identity Ultra Lounge, they have multiple events, including free-admission Fridays for ladies in before 11:00 p.m. — and the parking is always free.

This venue is a restaurant and lounge that specializes in food from West Africa and the Caribbean. Pejus is quite popular and is known in the area as being a place that you’re bound to have a great time and enjoy the food and drinks even more. Local celebrities even frequent this establishment from time to time. From jerk chicken to obe (tomato and pepper stew), you’ll enjoy discovering these new dishes along with partaking in the party side of the lounge. Pejus even has hookah along with live DJs that keep you going all night long with music ranging from hip-hop and r&b to reggae.

Baltimore Soundstage is not only a nightclub that brings you the beauty of live music concerts, but they also feed you as well! Select Lounge is a nightclub that is always packed and has some sort of event taking place during the week and weekend. The party doesn’t stop just because it’s a Wednesday. Select Lounge is definitely a place to go if you enjoy dressing to impress, love hookah and love to dance to the tunes of hip-hop and r&b. Select Lounge is only open on certain days, so it’s best to RSVP ahead of time, via the website or call  to purchase your tickets if you plan on using its VIP options. Otherwise, as long as you arrive at this nightclub before 11:00 p.m., your entry fee is free!

Tequila anyone? If you have a taste for margaritas and various types of tequilas, Mex is the place to be. It’s conveniently located inside of Power Plant Live! Not only does Mex have a range of tequilas in which you can sample in shot form, you can also sample those same tequilas in various margaritas. Its happy hour specials include $4.50 USD house margaritas, and, if you desire more than that, you can always try the seasonal sangria for $6.00 USD. There are live DJs that perform at Mex and there’s ample room in the bar to dance. The dance floor is always open and is surrounded by TVs and bright lights. Mex also hosts various karaoke nights, so if you love to sing with a glass in your hand, to Mex you must go!

Conveniently located in Fells Point, The Horse You Came In On Saloon happens to be Baltimore’s oldest bar, established in 1775. This establishment is known not only for its local history, but it’s also known for its performances of live music seven days a week! Its menu is a treasure trove of tasty items such as the crab pretzel, which contains Baltimore’s very own Old Bay Seasoning! In order to know what all the hype is about, you have to try it. This venue also has a strict dress code after 6:00 p.m., so, if you plan to visit this nightclub, make sure you’re dressed appropriately.

Oxygen Ultra Lounge is a place where the party never stops, and if you’re there on the right night, you may even run into a celebrity. This nightclub is known for its premier VIP packages, bottle service, live DJs playing a variety of hip-hop and r&b, along with hookah — available in the downstairs area. If you know that you would like to go to this nightclub ahead of time, it’s best to contact this venue for free passes before you arrive. Oxygen Ultra Lounge always has a variety of events, and, if you plan to attend one of them on a Saturday, it’s best to contact them in order for your name to be placed on the guest list. This club has two floors with one containing the dance floor and the other consisting of a hookah lounge.

The Depot is not your typical type of nightclub. It hosts a variety of events, including live and televised football games, live music performances and comedy shows.
