If Portland, Maine had a star sign, it would definitely be a water one – the city cozies up to Casco Bay to the east and is bordered by the Fore River to the south. The woodlands and parks, meanwhile, are laced with brooks and dotted with fountains. If you want even more of the element in your life, book a hotel with a hot tub. Here are some of the best hotels with jacuzzis and hot tubs in Portland, Maine – bookable on Culture Trip.

1. Hilton Garden Inn Portland Downtown Waterfront, for aquatic views

This Hilton Garden Inn is set on the waterfront in Portland’s Old Port district and some of the rooms look out over Casco Bay and Bug Light lighthouse in the distance. You’ll find the hotel hot tub in the fitness area. It sidles up to the heated lap pool, next door to the gym. Head here to refresh after a day of sightseeing before dropping by Port65, the hotel bar restaurant, for cocktails and classic Portland dishes such as lobster rolls.

The communal jacuzzi is in the spa, alongside saunas, vichy showers and steam rooms. If you don’t want to share, you can book into the Regency or Governor suites. The former comes with a two-person jacuzzi and the latter has a whirlpool bath.

Measuring 16sqft (1.5sqm), this one is party-sized, and it comes with a massaging waterfall feature. Water babies will also appreciate the outdoor pool – it’s heated year-round and can be accessed from inside the hotel, so you can swim even when it snows.
