The zebra carpeted boutique, which was birthed by a city couple back in 1993 and now features 20 different locations across Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Tennessee, offers visitors on-trend apparel from coveted brands such as Max Studio and French Connection, as well as one-of-a-kind accessories and fashion-forward shoes. The style empire, which prides itself on having a unique eye garment assortment, has two different locations in NOLA, one in the French Quarter and another in Magazine Street, providing clients with an easily accessible shopping experience no matter where they may be touristing the city from.

First opened in 1996, Trashy Diva Clothing is a New Orleans-based women’s clothing boutique offering shoppers vintage-inspired apparel from the 1970s and 80s inside five different city locations. The local store, whose name was chosen to represent the girl that doesn’t follow the rules when it comes to selecting her wardrobe, features a carefully crafted inventory filled with high-end antique and vintage styles, and is set to flatter and embrace every body type. Trashy Dive Clothing, which is open for business everyday of the week, also house’s everything from retro dresses, corsets, rockabilly wear, jewelry, wedding dresses and bridal accessories to designs by the owner herself, Candice Gwinn.

Funky Monkey

Featuring a unique mix of used and vintage women’s apparel, Funky Monkey is a locally owned and operated boutique located in the heart of Magazine Street. Opened since 1997, the specialty store, which represents a business fueled by culture, music, and art, is popular among locals due to its affordable and fashion-forward blend of hipster couture trends, custom-made T-shirts, handmade costumes, indie labs, accessories and everyday wear. Funky Monkey is open every day of the week from 11a.m. to 7p.m., except for Sundays when business runs from 12p.m. to 6p.m.

Kay’s

Offering fashion-forward apparel for women, Kay’s is a local, trendy boutique located in the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans. The store, which is curated by the store owner herself, Kay Charbonnet, offers visitors everything from contemporary rocket and bob womenswear to basic everyday pieces, jewelry and accessories. Kay’s opens from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30a.m. until 6:00p.m.

Pied Nu

Inspired by the French phrase for bare foot, Pied Nu is a quaint boutique offering women luxury clothing, footwear, jewelry, handbags and home decor accessories. Established since 1993, the store, which is located in New Orleans’ shopping epicenter also known as Magazine Street, is the go-to spot for those looking to purchase well-known brands such as Dorothee Schumacher, Cathy Waterman, Linda Gallery and Pippa Small, as well as independent labels and emerging fashion designers from around the world. Guests can visit Pied Nu everyday except for Sundays from 10a.m. to 5:30p.m.

Buffalo Exchange

Buffalo Exchange is a hip trading retail chain located in the Uptown neighborhood of the city. The Magazine Street store, which first opened in 1974, buys, sells and trades one-of-a-kind clothing as well as accessories, handbags, footwear and costumes. Inside their curated inventory, where guests can find apparel ranging from very affordable to ones month’s salary, Buffalo Exchange features an array of designer labels, leather, vintage pieces and current basics. Except for Sundays, when the store closes at 7p.m., shoppers can visit the popular store from Monday to Saturday starting 11:00a.m. until 8:00p.m.

Azby’s

Established since 1989, Azby’s is a women’s boutique carrying unique designer clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories. Located on the gorgeous Magazine Street, the bright storefront, run by fashion stylist Kerry Morgan who’s been dressing women in New Orleans for more than 26 years, caters to all ages with hand-picked styles from some of the best contemporary designers such as Trina Turk, Tibi, Milly, DVF, BCBG, Laundry by Shelli Segal, C&C of California, Sam Edelman, Charles David, among others. With trends ranging from casual to black tie, Azby’s is open to the public every day of the week from 10:00pm until 5:50p.m., excluding Sundays when the store wraps up business at 5:00pm.
