Ziggy’s Pizza is a homey neighborhood pizza place with creative appetizers, sandwiches, and of course, pizzas. Before you get to the main event order some Ziggy Bites – homemade pizza dough stuffed with cheese and pepperoni. Don’t eat too many though, as you’ll want to save room for either the Mamacita’s Taco Pizza or the Sanibel Islander, two topping-heavy pizzas sure to please any crowd.
Knolla’s Pizza has expanded to several locations since it opened, and once you taste their pizza you’ll understand why they’ve been so successful. Knolla’s serves both New York and Chicago style pizza, and their specialty pizzas are offered in both styles. The most ‘Wichita’ and arguably most delicious pizza on the menu is the ‘ICT,’ a barbecue bacon and beef pizza served on a garlic butter crust.

Wichita Pizza Company was selected by Thrillist as the best pizza in Kansas. Wichita Pizza Company tends towards the trendier side of pizzerias, offering pies like Thai Chicken and Bacon Cheeseburger. Wichita also serves up mouth-watering calzones, which are definitely worth ordering if you’re pretty hungry.
Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza
Though Il Vicino has spread to many Midwestern and Western states, the food remains traditional and tasty. Do not expect to find any barbecue chicken pizza here — the menu tends towards Italian classics like Pizza Bianca or Salsiccia. Il Vicino also serves their very own house wine alongside renowned labels from California and Italy.
Picasso’s Pizzeria takes their pizza seriously and serves up New York-style thin crust pizzas from their brick oven. Their ‘slices of art’ menu is worth checking out, as they’ve spent a long time developing creative pies with names full of character. Try the Hot Island, a spicy take on the traditional Hawaiian pizza; Picasso’s adds jalapeños and pepperoncini.
Pacific Coast Pizza
Pacific Coast Pizza brings the West Coast to the Midwest via 26 inches of savory pizza. The menu is divided into four sections: classic, pesto based, Pacific Coast style, and vegetarian. Our favorite is the San Diego, a mozzarella and Monterey jack pizza topped with beef filet, tomatoes, onion, green pepper, and mushrooms.
